Wilmington woman charged with assaulting school employees

NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — A Wilmington woman was charged with multiple counts of alleged assault against two school employees at Williston Middle School.

According to court documents, 25-year-old Lynoria Zyteria Simpson allegedly struck and pushed Malchel Henry and Kevin Mininni while fighting another parent in an office on school grounds.

Simpson faces the following charges:

• Two misdemeanor counts of assault on a school employee or volunteer.
• Resisting a public officer.
• Disorderly conduct at a school.
