Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, have announced their engagement. This news comes only a month after Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, the former anchors of the afternoon spinoff of “Good Morning America,” “GMA3,” were married.
Shue, the “Melrose Place” actor who was previously married to Robach, confirmed the news in an interview with People magazine. “We’re very grateful and happy,” he said. “I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending.”
Shue and Fiebig famously got together months after their respective exes became romantically involved. In November 2022, The Daily Mail published photographs of Robach and Holmes holding hands. Both were legally married to Shue and Fiebig at the time. The photographs started a tabloid frenzy with rumors of an affair.
Robach and Holmes said they had separated from their spouses in August, before their relationship began, but they had not told the network. ABC initially said the relationship did not violate company policy, but temporarily removed them from the air. In January 2023, ABC announced the pair would be leaving their hosting positions.
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” the network said in a statement at the time of the departure. “We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
At the end of 2023, the hosting duo launched the iHeart podcast “Amy & T.J.,” where they continued to discuss their relationship. In October 2025, they announced their engagement on the podcast. Robach and Holmes were later married in a private ceremony in Arkansas in September.
The relationship between Shue and Fiebig developed in the shadows of the scandal, first starting as unlikely friends before falling in love. After dating for more than three years, the two were engaged this past spring.
“I had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me and in not understanding myself well enough and not understanding what matters in a relationship well enough to find the right person for me, and that has been an extraordinary gift,” Shue told People. “Again, I don’t know how it happened, but I can say I’m grateful.”
